In October, I read Halloween Party by R.L. Stine. Halloween Party is a horror book about nine teenagers that get invited to the Halloween party of the year. No one quite knows why they got invited. After school they find out who is invited, they come up with the conclusion that it was the jocks vs the wimps. The party is set in the old Cameron mansion. Everyone enjoyed their time until things took a dark turn. Terry and Niki, who are a couple invited to the party, discover Justine’s terrifying secret.

I loved reading this book very much, I felt as if I could feel all of their emotions. The author portrayed every character’s struggles and feelings as if I was them. I could imagine the Cameron mansion, like I was taking a look with them. The ambience R.L. Stine created was phenomenal! As the story progresses, people’s thoughts about Justine change.

Justine is my favorite character. Reasons are she is funny, convincing as an innocent person, and very intriguing. In the beginning as Terry describes her, she is someone anyone would most likely want to know. Times change at the end. Justine is described as mysterious and gorgeously cool. The end she is terrifying and cruel.

In the Halloween Party, my favorite quote is, “Boy, you two were scared to death! You should have seen your faces.” On page 4. I like this quote because it makes me laugh. Also it’s relatable to me, since I hear it often. It sets the tone and mood for the rest of the story. Foreshadowing that the rest of the night will be an eventful evening.

My perfect day would be calm and chill. When I wake up I would want it to be a gloomy, autumn day. I would want French toast for my breakfast, and a glass of milk for my drink. After breakfast I would want to skip school to hangout with my mom, while playing Dress to Impress on Roblox. For lunch I would ideally like to have Chick-fil-A, my order would be an eight piece chicken nugget with Chick-fil-A sauce and a medium root beer. After lunch I would still want to hangout with my mom, while playing Dress to Impress. For dinner I want the Ralph’s brand, Simple Truth, cheese pizza. With of course milk as my drink. After dinner I would again want to play Dress to Impress, and be hanging with my mom.  I will go to bed at 11:30 PM.

I would want to be eighteen years old forever. I want to be eighteen because I can legally vote. Also I can still live with my parents, but stay home by myself. At this age I can also drive myself and others around. This way I can be an adult, and a kid at the same time. I can also go to college, and only do it once, because I am not required to go to school anymore.

Jiggsy is my smallest, oldest dog. He is brown/white, tiny, rude, but so adorable! We call him Jiggs most of the time, even though his actual name is, Sir Jiggsy Gumbo. Don’t ask why, because I don’t even know, (I was 6). My family got him on Christmas, I was ecstatic! My sister was too; she was 2 so she just learned how to walk, but she still had a great, big smile on her face. He is now 7, which means we’ve had him for 6 years, because when we got him he was 1 year old. He is what I call a Chiweenie, a Chiweenie is a Weiner dog mixed with a Chihuahua. I love him so much!

If I could live in any fiction universe, it would be Gilmore Girls. The first reason is it is my favorite show, and the atmosphere is beautiful and so is how they live. Secondly, I would love to meet all of them, because I feel like I would get along with most of the characters. Next, I want to feel what it feels like to stand in the middle of the town, or even just walking, and have the snow fall down on you. Lastly, I really want to try Luke’s coffee and his French toast; try lots of different desserts from Weston’s, also stay in Lorelai and Sookie’s inn, and I want to experience a special Gilmore Girls movie night in.

In September, I read the book Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J. K. Rowling. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is a fantasy fiction book about 3 teenage friends; Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ronald Weasley. Who ban together to defeat the evil wizard, Lord Voldemort. Along with his posse of followers, called the Deatheaters. Although Harry himself and his friends have a support system of their own. There are many different groups of people that support them, Order of the Phoenix, and Dumbledore’s Army. Dumbledore’s army consists of the kids that attend Hogwarts, the school for witches and wizards. You may be wondering why it’s called Dumbledore’s Army, this is because the leader of the Order of the Phoenix, and who started Dumbledore’s Army is named Dumbledore, the old principal of Hogwarts. He died last year, due to the death spell casted by Snape the new school’s principal . He is a part of the Deatheaters. The wizarding world has now been taken over by Voldemort and his followers. Voldemort and the Deatheaters are going into battle against Dumbledore’s Army, Order of the Phoenix, Harry, Hermione, and Ron.

I have so far thoroughly loved reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. When you read this book the characters come alive, and so does the setting. All of a sudden emerge into this perfect, magical world. The fantasy genre certainly lives up to its name, in this series. Although the type of book is fantasy fiction, it certainly does seem like the challenges would be real if there really was a whole population of wizards and witches. The author did an immaculate job on really creating a fiction world for us fantasy readers to really enjoy, and emerge into. Throughout the story, especially the three main characters, Harry, Hermione, and Ron. J.K. Rowling makes sure that not just the main characters are evolving, but so are the supporting characters.

Harry Potter is my favorite character. He is my favorite because he doesn’t use his magical abilities to rain terror amongst the other wizards. He isn’t afraid to stand up for what’s right. This shows me he is courageous, my quote to prove my thinking is, “And he saw them: Malfoy with his arms around the unconscious Goyle, the pair of them perched on a fragile tower of charred desks, and Harry dived.” (Pg. 633). This demonstrates that even though Harry could have escaped and not had helped Malfoy, and his friends, but he did. He could have let them die, to the thing they tried to kill Harry and his friends with, but instead he took a chance just to save them.

My favorite quote from this book is, “I won’t blast people out of my way just because they’re there,” said Harry. “That’s  Voldemort’s job.” This quote is located on page 71. I love this quote, because it shows that Harry is a thoughtful and caring person. He displays his kindness by not just ruthlessly throwing people around for his benefit. This also applies for all of the other characters on Harry’s side. 

I have a favorite meal. My favorite meal is an In-N-Out cheeseburger, sauce only. This cheeseburger is juicy and mouthwatering. The best part though is when the cheese, patty, bun, and sauce all mix together. The flavor becomes phenomenal, like something you have never tasted before. I would always get a cheeseburger ketchup only, but one time they made a mistake and gave me a cheeseburger sauce only,  which was the greatest food discovery of my life. You must, I insist you try it. It will change your whole order at any In-N-Out. I mean who wouldn’t want this delicious, flavorful, and juicy cheeseburger.

If I could design my dream home it would be a neutral minimalist home. My dream home would be located somewhere with lots of greenery. It would have a beautiful, large pool with a jacuzzi. The inside would have many low maintenance plants, with only neutral furniture. Every wall would be some sort of white. The house would be 4 stories tall, with an elevator that is clear with gold/white handles. There would be 10 bedrooms with 10 1/2 bathrooms. The house would have 5 onsite butlers. My garage would have a double decker car elevator for all of my cars. Also in my house I have a whole amusement park, trampoline park, and water park.

If I could travel anywhere on planet Earth it would be Switzerland. I have already been there, but the reasons why I would love to go again are, I would like to go on the beautiful boat tour of Lucern that I previously went on, also the food was absolutely amazing and I would like to enjoy it again, ( especially the ice cream). Next the atmosphere was almost like it was out of a movie. The attractions were unlike anything you may have seen before, grand, impressive, and beautiful. Finally when I went there, there were beautiful swans, as bright white as the snow. They sat right on where the street met the water and would stay there all day long.

One is a Chiweenie, another is a Siberian Husky, and lastly I have a Doberman mix. My hobby is playing volleyball, and going to volleyball clinics. Now about my friends, which includes, Alexa, Alexis, Aubrey, Avery (not me),Brielle, Brilee, Britton, Brooklyn, Harper, Hayden, Iylee, Kaitlyn, Liv, Livy, Sarah, Scarlett, and Seanna. My favorite subjects are math and social studies, and I don’t enjoy science as much as the other subjects.
